We are ready to begin the second semester of our school year. The beginning of the second semester seems like a good time to remind everyone of a few key practices that support teaching and learning. As always, I ask for your help in getting your children here on time every day—even a few minutes or a couple of days missed from a class add up to a real loss of instructional time. As we transition back to school from the winter break, please help students get out the door and to school on time. We’re eager to see everyone back and will be making sure to take time to re-connect and welcome everybody back to the Lion community. You should have received first semester report cards this past week. I encourage you to discuss grades with your child and refocus on some goals for this semester. Make a New Year’s Resolution to help your child stay on top of assignments, contact teachers or counselors if needed, and encourage your children to take advantage of our tutorials.
